A FAB-U-WISH FOR VERONICA R.

Just as she turned 40, Veronica found out that one of her best friends was diagnosed with breast cancer. Veronica does have a family history so her friend’s experience prompted her to make time to schedule a mammogram. The results came back clear but just a few days later she felt a lump on her own. Veronica pushed for an ultrasound and was diagnosed with stage 2b breast cancer that had already spread to her lymph nodes. The diagnosis was, as she described it, “a bucket of cold water”. Veronica and her husband had recently moved back to Texas to take care of their elderly parents only to then receive the news of her own personal health battle. Now, as she finishes many months of active treatment, Veronica is working to rebuild her life.

During her journey,Veronica has been surrounded by an amazing support system with her husband, family, and friends. Her wish was for a special experience to enjoy with some of the people who helped as she was fighting. With the help of our friends @KendraScott, we were able to arrange for Veronica and her friends to attend a Dallas Cowboys game in their suite.
