Every October during breast cancer awareness month, Leslie made it a point to schedule her mammogram. She has worked in health care her entire career including time spent as an oncology social worker, so she understands the importance of preventative medicine. It was the mammogram that caught Leslie’s diagnosis as there had been no indication from self-exams and no family history. Leslie has always been active and loves all types of outdoor activities. Her wish was to have an experience where she could get back to some of the things that she loves to do and spend time with her partner, Ryan.
Truly touched by her story, #FABUWISH was thrilled to grant Leslie an Oregon ski package with lift tickets to some of her favorite local mountains including Mt. Hood Meadows, Timberline, and Mt. Hood Skibowl. Leslie also enjoyed a shopping opportunity at REI so she could get her skis sharpened and purchase some new gear.
