Jennifer had given birth to her twin sons and was still nursing when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Also, the mother to a five-year-old boy, Jennifer has been strong for her family as well as her students. Through her work as a middle school Social Studies teacher and a cheerleading coach, she has touched the lives of so many. Her students and their parents became part of her support system. She continued to be there for her students and exemplified her strength and perseverance daily. Nominated by a parent of former students, her wish was for Jennifer to enjoy a weekend away to celebrate the end of her treatment.
FAB-U-WISH was able to arrange for Jennifer to have a wonderful, relaxing weekend in Chicago with her mother, who is also a breast cancer survivor. Their weekend included a stay at LondonHouse Chicago, an architecture boat tour, a visit to the LondonHouse spa for massages and facials, and dining experiences.
Quote: “Thank you doesn’t seem near enough to say to The Pink Agenda and FAB-U-WISH, what they do for women in a time that is so difficult is truly remarkable. I am beyond honored and so
grateful for the special weekend I was able to share with my mom.”
