Due to her family history, Emily’s new doctor suggested genetic testing, which found Emily to be positive for the BRCA1 gene. After wrapping her head around prophylactic surgeries, an MRI found Emily had breast cancer. It has been a whirlwind of treatments and surgeries but throughout it all Emily has remained incredibly strong. Nominated by her sister, Emily’s family is so proud of her and grateful that she opted for genetic testing.
A mother to two young children, Emily’s sister wished for her to enjoy a day of shopping for herself, to give Emily time to focus on herself and bring a smile to her face. The FAB-U-WISH team was pleased to arrange for Emily to enjoy a day of shopping at some of her favorite retailers including Ulta Beauty, TJMaxx, and American Eagle.
