Gladys has been working in healthcare for the past 14 years. She felt a pain but thought it was a pulled muscle from transferring a patient. She soon noticed a lump and quickly scheduled an appointment with her doctor. The testing that followed diagnosed Gladys with triple negative breast cancer at the age of 37. She was shattered by the news.
A mother to two young girls, Gladys has been surrounded by loving family and incredible support despite the challenges that cancer has brought. Treatment can be draining at times and Gladys’ bedroom is her favorite place in her house as she heals.
