Lexie Donahue is a New York City-based legal recruiter. She is running the 2010 ING New York City Marathon in honor of her aunt, who recently passed away from breast cancer. Lexie says that "Running the marathon will be a huge accomplishment for me, but running on behalf of my aunt will make it even more special."
Emma Giffen is an administrative assistant at a New York City hedge fund. She is an avid runner and is running the 2010 ING New York City Marathon with Team TPA to honor three family members of her co-workers who are breast cancer survivors and also because she says that she "would like to eventually live in a time when no mothers, daughters, wives or mothers have to worry about this disease." This is Emma's second marathon.
Khalid Itum is a Washington, DC-based marketing and business development executive in the arena of interior design & contract furniture. He has been a long-time supporter of The Pink Agenda, hosting its inaugural Washington DC event in 2008, and is working to expand the organization's presence in the nation's capital. He says he is running the 2010 ING New York City Marathon with Team TPA "in honor of all those women who have beaten breast cancer and in memory of all those women who lost their lives to it."
Monica Lacks is a Cleveland-based attorney. A married mother of two teenagers, she is running the 2010 ING New York City Marathon in memory of her two dear friends, whose lives were claimed by the disease. She says she "cannot imagine a better way to honor their lives and courage than running the marathon with the goal of raising funds to educate others and, ultimately, working towards a cure for this devastating disease."
Jessica Levine is a New York City-based attorney. She has been running since high school, and is participating in the 2010 ING New York City Marathon in memory of her aunt, who was a fixture at her track meets before succumbing to breast cancer, and her grandmother, who passed away from the disease shortly thereafter.
Peter Mullen is a New York City-based analyst specializing in distressed and leveraged credit investing. He is an avid runner and a longtime supporter of The Pink Agenda.
Ryan Parra is a New York-based corporate executive. He ran the 2009 ING New York City Marathon after securing a spot in the lottery, but wanted to run the 2010 ING New York City Marathon to support a cause. He chose The Pink Agenda because his mother is a breast cancer survivor.
Kelly Reina is a New Jersey-based academic coordinator. Her grandmother and three of her aunts are breast cancer survivors, and she says "It has always been a goal of mine to run in the NYC marathon. To do so while making a contribution in the fight against breast cancer would be one of the great achievements of my lifetime. I want to run this race not only for my own personal sense of accomplishment, but as a testament to the brave women of my family and the millions of women worldwide that battle breast cancer."
Neha Santiago is a New York City-based commercial real estate investor. She ran the Chicago Marathon in 2005 and has run a number of half marathons in recent years. Neha's mother is a breast cancer survivor, and she says that since that diagnosis, "I have committed myself to supporting breast cancer organizations in an effort to find a cure and to provide the same love and support my mom received to those in need"
Christopher Smith is a New York City-based banker. He has been a long-time supporter of The Pink Agenda and says that, "With friends and family members who have been impacted by cancer, I am thrilled and privileged to run my first marathon on behalf of The Pink Agenda."
Townsend Smith is a New York City-based banker, and his mother is a breast cancer survivor.
Rachel Wadsworth is an art historian, triathlete, and marathon runner. This will be her second New York City marathon, and she says that she is "looking forward to running number two for TPA and putting every step to work against cancer."
Jim Wilkinson is a San Francisco-based executive specializing in international business and financial strategy. He has completed 13 marathons and spearheaded The Pink Agenda's inaugural marathon initiative in 2009.
Seo Yun Yang is currently a summer associate at a New York City law firm. She has been a long-time supporter of The Pink Agenda and says that "Although I have run few races, I understand how much in means to have a higher objective in training for such an endeavor." Seo Yun says that "based on the impact breast cancer has had on my nearest and dearest, it is a particularly important cause for me."
